The Same Game Parlay, commonly referred to as an “SGP”, is a specific type of parlay bet where every leg of the wager is from – you guessed it – the same game.
Same Game Parlays are taking off in 2025, creating unique opportunities for bettors to turn small wagers into impressive paydays throughout the course of just a single game. Let’s dig-in to this popular bet type, covering the ins-and-outs of Same Game Parlays.
Let’s start with the basics: a Same Game Parlay is a bet that involves multiple legs that will be decided within the same game. Just two bets from the same game qualifies a wager as an SGP, but you can have plenty more, up to twenty, in fact, if you’re feeling bold.
Both Same Game Game Parlays and traditional parlay wagers are very similar:
However, a Same Game Parlay only uses bet selections from a single game. In essence, all SGPs are parlays, but not all parlays are SGPs.
Let’s take a look at an example to illustrate the difference between SGPs and parlays. The wager below contains two NBA player props:
Fans of the NBA, or just sports in general, could tell you that both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are teammates. They both play for the Los Angeles Lakers, which means they’ll be playing in the same game. Having a bet on two players in the same game makes this a Same Game Parlay. You can see that the bet is marked with the “SGP” logo at the top of the bet slip.
Now, let’s say you make a simple substitution and instead of betting the Anthony Davis rebounds prop, you bet on Giannis instead. Giannis plays for the Bucks, who are playing in a different game, which transforms the bet from an SGP to a standard parlay. The bet is now marked as a “Parlay” at the top of the bet slip.
To get started, simply click (computer) or tap (app) on the wager you want to add to your betting slip. If you select just one bet it will be added as a single wager. However, if you click on a second bet it will automatically bundle it with the first, starting your Same Game Parlay.
Every successive SGP-eligible wager that you add to the ticket will be reflected on the bet slip. In total you can add up to twenty bets to your SGP ticket.
Once you’re content with the selections, enter the amount you want to bet and place the wager. Enjoy your sweat.
What betting markets are eligible for Same Game Parlays? A lot. The easiest way to tell exactly what can and can’t be bundled together on an SGP ticket is by looking for the bold “SGP” logos:
Notably, the point spread, over/under, and moneyline are all markets that can be included in an SGP, however, they’re far from the only available markets. Other popular options include: player props, play-by-play wagers, halves, quarters, individual team lines, select game specials, and more.
Let’s take a look at an example of a Same Game Parlay on Hard Rock Bet. The following ticket is a 4-Bet SGP, as indicated in the top left corner:
This SGP ticket consists of four different wagers, all of which are from the same Cavaliers @ Heat NBA basketball game. Remember, each leg of the SGP must win in order for the bet to cash. The legs are:
The odds for the SGP are indicated in the top-right corner of the bet slip, +1400, and the wager amount and potential payout based on those odds are clearly displayed.
If all four of these things happen, the SGP hits and the payout, $375 in this case, is awarded to the bettor. If just one leg misses, the bet is graded as a loss.
Same Game Parlays are everywhere in sports betting circles. They’re easy to build, offer the possibility of a huge win, and everything transpires over the course of just a single game making for a sensationally exiting sweat.
Select one game. Select two (or more) SGP-eligible bets. Enter the amount you want to wager, and you’ve got an SGP. Same Game Parlays are exceedingly simple to build as all of the potential options are right there on the betting menu under the game you’ve chosen.
Simply put, SGPs, and parlays in general, offer bettors the opportunity to win bigger payouts than a single bet. The more bets you add to an SGP ticket, the longer the odds, and the higher the potential payout becomes. While longshot bets inherently come with more risk, the opportunity to turn a little money into a lot of money will always have appeal.
Same Game Parlay’s make for some of the best sports betting sweats. While a standard parlay may be strung out over the course of a day, or a week, or year(s) in some cases where long-term futures are involved, SGPs generally make for a fast and furious sweat. The outcome of the Same Game Parlay is tied to one singular game, meaning whatever transpires within the two halves, three periods, four quarters, nine innings, etc., is all that matters. Plus, since SGPs by nature are dependent on multiple outcomes, there can something to cheer for during every minute of action.
For major sporting events, like betting on the Super Bowl, SGPs are one of the best ways to maximize the excitement of the occasion.

All of them. Much like standard parlay wagers, with an SGP you have to get every bet on the ticket correct to win. One misstep and you’re out of luck.
On Hard Rock Bet you can add up to 20 bets to a Same Game Parlay.
If one leg of a SGP either pushes or is voided than it will be removed from the ticket and the odds of the wager will be recalculated to reflect the new ticket without the missing bet.
