Ever wake up on Sunday ready to see some touchdown passes? Like… a lot of touchdown passes? Well, a bettor from Citrus Springs did exactly that last Sunday, December 15th, leading to one of the most impressive NFL parlays we’ve seen.

The bettor in question took one simple sports betting mechanic – passing TD player props – and ran wild, assembling a parlay for the ages. The $25 ticket had a sensational 14-bets – all of them passing TD overs, coming in with odds of +401645… and when the dust settled, a $100,436.25 payday.

A TD pass parlay for the ages

The winning ticket had all of the following QBs to exceed their passing TD prop:

  1. Jayden Daniels โœ…
  2. Joe Burrow โœ…
  3. Patrick Mahomes โœ…
  4. Aaron Rodgers โœ…
  5. CJ Stroud โœ…
  6. Lamar Jackson โœ…
  7. Bo Nix โœ…
  8. Baker Mayfield โœ…
  9. Justin Herbert โœ…
  10. Russell Wilson โœ…
  11. Jaylen Hurts โœ…
  12. Josh Allen โœ…
  13. Jared Goff โœ…
  14. Jordan Love โœ…

What’s more, 13 of the 14 bets on the ticket were set at over/under 1.5 TD passes. Russell Wilson, facing a difficult Eagles defensive unit, was listed at over/under .5 TD passes.

Choosing carefully

Don’t dismiss this as blind luck, either. There were fourteen games on Sunday, meaning there were 28 starting QBs in action. This savvy bettor sidestepped a couple of pass-happy offenses, avoiding Jameis Winston, Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray, Will Levis, and Geno Smith – all of whom failed to throw for a touchdown. The bettor also avoided the temptation to take shots on the less heralded signal callers like Jake Haener, Tommy DeVito, or Bryce Young.

Sweating a $100K parlay

No 14-Bet success story comes without a sweat, right? With 14-Legs spread across all three Sunday game windows there were bound to be a few close calls. Let’s breakdown the timeline of this $100K sweat.

The 1:00pm games: smooth

The wager got off to a hot start in the 1pm window. Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Jayden Daniels had all done their part by half time – each connecting for multiple first half scores.

That left CJ Stroud and Aaron Rodgers as the remaining early-window loose ends. Thankfully, the bettor didn’t have to wait long to check them off the list, too. CJ Stroud connected with Nico Collins for his second touchdown of the day with 11:02 left in the third quarter, and Aaron Rodgers hit Davante Adams with 4:33 remaining in the third to wrap things up.

That was the early window down, 6 for 6, and they didn’t even need the fourth quarter.

The 4:25pm games: time to spare

There were five games kicking off at 4:25pm on Sunday and our bettor had seven of the ten quarterbacks in action on his ticket. Once again, thing started well. Justin Herbert, Jared Goff, Russell Wilson, and Jaylen Hurts each threw their target number of TD passes by the end of the second quarter.

Baker Mayfield hit Mike Evans for a 57-yard strike early in the third, leaving just Josh Allen and Bo Nix to keep the parlay alive… and the smooth sailing continued. Bo Nix tossed his second score of the game with 13:51 left in in the fourth quarter, and Josh Allen completed the afternoon sweat with a pass to running back Ray Davis with 11:51 remaining.

That’s the afternoon window down, 7 for 7 – 13 for 13 overall, and with plenty of time to spare. But there was still one bet left…

Sunday Night Football: You Love to see it

With thirteen of fourteen bets already checked off, the sweat to this point had been about as clean as one could have hoped… but there was still one bet remaining. Jordan Love over 1.5 passing touchdowns. The Packers started their Sunday Night Football matchup in Seattle well, with an early Josh Jacobs rushing TD followed by a Love to Romeo Doubs passing touchdown with 1:54 remaining in the first quarter. That left more than three full quarters for complete the $100K parlay. But then things slowed down

The second quarter brought three field goals. The third quarter brought two more field goals, and the Packers found themselves up ten points and salting the clock away late — and our bettor still needed a second Jordan Love passing touchdown. With 5:55 left in the fourth the Packers had a crucial 4th & 2 from the Seattle 39, and they decided to go for it. They ran the ball through Josh Jacobs and came up short – turnover on downs. The odds of Green Bay getting the ball back and needing to throw were diminishing… but then, it happened.

Following the turnover on downs the Seahawks threw a crucial interception on the second play of their drive to hand the ball back to the Packers. While they had the ball back, with just five minutes remaining the teams first priority was to run the clock… Love may not throw another pass. 1st down? Run. 2nd down? Run – setting up the pivotal 3rd & 5. Would they run the ball again to guarantee the clock keeps ticking? Would they throw short? Not this time. Jordan Love dropped back to pass and found Romeo Doubs again for a 22-yard touchdown pass, securing the win, and the $100,436.25 parlay.
